Our travels will likely allow us to be in Quartzsite during that timeframe. We've never been there before and hope others will start a thread we can follow and try to meet up. Thanks, and safe travels.

We have never been there before either -- noticed other brands/groups made mention of meeting there but could not find any Country Coach information on a gathering. We are hoping someone or group has attended in the past -- and can share information.
We are in Virginia -- and plan a cross country trip with plans to be in Quartzsite for the show.
Thanks,

Johnnie and Ruth,
We wish we were and will one year soon! I hope you hear from some folks who will be there and that you get together. Whenever we see a CC in a campground I wish I would but never do knock on their door to see if they are on our CC blog.

Hi all,
I did not use the RV Park.
I stayed on the BLM land a few years back during the RV Show. If you want to dry camp or boondock, you can organize the group very easily. As you head south on AZ US 95 from I-10, the show tents are on the right, the BLM land is on the left, all you will need to do is coordinate which entrance to meet at and which side of the road to camp. There 3 entrances on the left you can use. I use the third one which had a dump station.
Be sure to fuel up, top up LP and dump at Flying J just a couple of miles west on I-10 past AZ US 95 before you camp. I used my gen for 1 hour in the am and 2 hrs in the pm daily. I did not need the AC. I stayed for 4 days with no problems.
Enjoy. It is worth the trip and experience.

For those who have not been there before (I'm a seasoned traveler), I have been there twice...LOL
There are very few paved places to stay as a group. Most of these places have reservations from the previous year for the paved RV Parks.
There is lots and lots of Free BLM land for all those that Dry Camp and want to circle the wagons for lots of chit chat and Happy Hours.
There is a single Large White Tent that you can not miss once you get close to that area.
There must be 100 different swap meet places to visits and if you are into rocks LARGE or Small you will enjoy it. I do not think there is a thing you can not buy for your MH here... Used or new.
If you are looking into trading up or newer MH... there are dealers everywhere.
There are bead dealers, there is metal art dealers, Want a new antenna, want pin Stripping, it here
They even have a place called the "Naked Bookstore" where you can trade and buy books and magazines of your liking. But remember it's called "Naked" for a reason... not totally.. the gentleman that owns it, is a nudist and he has no problem walking around the store with a cover over the important part.
Readers, your MH will be dirty when you leave here, the wind can kick up and since the area is 95% dirt and rocks when you leave it will be dirty. Ladies the inside will also get dirty. No matter when or where we took our shoes off before entering the MH, it was dusty and dirty when we left.
We usually stay at a place called Rice Ranch. 70% full hookups..25% water and Elect and the rest Dry Camping It just across the street from the White Tent and easy walk.
For those who indulge... there is a Husband Day Care Tent for those who might need it.

Tim, you can check things out on the Quartzsite website. There are some campgrounds but they get filled up pretty quick so make a reservation early. We boondock at mile post 99 with a ham radio group insteat of staying in a campground.ore fum out in the dirt! The big show is at the intersection of I10 and AZ95, you can't miss it. http://www.quartzsitervshow.com/

Sorry Wally, I have only seen one of these tents. As U walk toward the white tent through several vendors, it will be there. I do not remember seeing any other places where U can hang out while our DW look and shop. This place is one large swap meet of new, old and sometimes just junk items.
This is one of the reason we stay at Rice Ranch. It is across the street from the main area and us guys can hang out at the MH while those who endulge more then we want to. I usually have only one or two items I'm looking for and once I find them, deal for them, I'm done. The prices do go down the closer it gets to the end of the show. Go, enjoy the show, vendors and enjoy the company of your friends and new friends you meet.
Yahoo Message Number: 108382 (http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Country-Coach-Owners/conversations/messages/108382)
Tim, I'm not sure if each location would have an address.. Meaning I'm sure there is an address for the location somewhere, but these vendors are there for this show and gone afterwards... The vendors change as the shows here change. I'm sure the vendors that are there all the time have an address and building or space #.
If U use Google Maps and just enter "Quartzsite" and zero in on the 10 freeway, Hwy 95 and Kuehn Rd this is the area I'm talking about.
Also, for those who have not been there before, there is not an off ramp close to the large white tent. Approx one mile before and after the tent area are the on & off ramps for the 10 freeway.
I'm not trying to make this confusing, but when I refer to the large white tent. It is the main focus and gathering point for those there.
Hope this helps...

For RV show just look for big white tent across from Tyson Wells vendors. Open dry camping for $6/day with available fresh water and dump at Roses. Coming from the East on I-10 get off first Quartzite exit and turn left 1/2 mi to crossroad and turn right 1/2 mi to Roses. Been doing that past 15 yrs and yes will get dusty. We are also planning our first visit to Quartzsite in 2017. Would very muchlike to tag up with other Country Coachers. Is there a name for the area 3 miles out on Palmosa Rd. I assume that it is 3 miles South of I 10 down Hey 95. Is that correct. And is it past the Los Posas LTVA.

Plomosa (note spelling) road is about 5-6 miles North of Quartzsite on Hwy 95, NOT South. There are no named areas along Plomosa road - just lots of dispersed RVs on both sides of the road.
GPS coordinates are the best way to locate a specific location.

Thanks for the info. Is the North side the Free part of the BLM area? I saw that the La Posa LTVA on the South side requires a Permit that costs $40 for up to a 14 day limit. Just trying to figure out where to go.

Hi Craig
If you are coming from Parker Az. South on SR -95 to junction SR- 72, turn South on SR-95 for 17..7 miles. On your right side is Plomosa road it is only 1//2 mile long until it turns into Boyer Gap. If you are coming from Quartzsite on East Main Street and SR-95 it is just 5 miles on your left side. Hope this helps.

There are several free (14 day) areas - No Services: - Hi Jolly (~3 miles N on E side of Hwy 95) - Plomosa Road (~ 6 miles N on E side of Hwy 95) - Scaddan Wash (~3 miles E of I-10 exit 19 on S frontage road) - Road Runner (~ 5 miles S on W side of Hwy 95 (@ MM99)) - Dome Rock Road (~ 6 miles W on I-10 @ Dome Rock exit, on S frontage road)
Commercial water/dump station (also propane) are available ($10?) @ "Pit Stop" on N side of Quartzsite (E side of Hwy 95).
I've always stayed at Hi Jolly (nearby cell tower and waste transfer station, closer to town, less traffic congestion) or in the La Posa LTVA North Camping Area (includes water, dump station, trash facilities, possible walking distance to big show tent area).
Nothing wrong with Plomosa Road; its just a bit farther to town.
Maybe others can chime with opinions about the advantages/disadvantages of the other options.

ALCON,
It looks like I'll be arriving at Quartzite on the 26th and leaving on the 29th. My first time there and I'd love to meet up with other CC'ers. But, the camp location has been described (in this email string) as being on the East side and on the west side of SR-95. Looking at a map link (http://www.google.com/maps/dir//40644-41126+Arizona+95,+Quartzsite,+AZ+85346/@33.7373548,-114.219165,16.17z/data=!4m8!4m7!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x80d15e603f42aaaf:0x592a3d3cfee7f123!2m2!1d-114.2170779!2d33.739161 ) , East Plomosa Rd. & West Plomosa Rd. are 0.7miles apart. Could someone who's been there before post a GPS location or could the first arriving coach post their camp's GPS location? Regardless, count me in. If I can find ya.
