I recently purchased a '99 Country Coach Affinity and today, when I turn the key, I get nothing. The batteries are showing 12.5 v with a meter on the battery but the volt meter on th dash is only showing 10 volts. Dash lights up and the diagnostic ques are all normal. It started fine two weeks ago and has been on shore power since then. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you shut off your chassis batteries two weeks ago?
That would cause your problem.
Do your center row chassis fuses light up in the front run box when the key is turned on?
If not, try a new temporary ground connection from the ignition solenoid at the bottom of the fuse panel. That fixed my similar problem.

A simple, but many times causes the issue: Clean and tighten the battery cables. Also, does your coach have a boost button where you can use the house batteries to help start the coach or generator?

Not to over simplify things, but is the coach in Neutral?
Be sure the rear run switch is in the proper position.

Odd enough I am having the same problem! I checked the Neutral thing and no luck. where is the rear run switch? I have power but started will not even click.
ALSO... This coach is for sale if anyone is interested!

Had this problem shortly after purchase of 2002 intrigue---had to be jump started several times techs could not find problem---said starter was fine. I finally insisted that starter be replaced . Tthey discovered there was a cog missing in Bendix fly wheel so new starter fixed problem! Ref extended warranty: bought it when I bought coach but soon discovered they don't want to pay a claim so cancelled and just insure myself! Cheaper! Janie 2002 intrigue 11342

I had the same issue with battery voltage and volt meter reading, I replaced the ignition solenoid and fixed the problem.
If your starter isn't engaging then I'd check the starter solenoid.

HiI have replaced the starter Soleniod Soleniod, Yes there is a soleniod for the starter soleniod, many times. It is located on the bulkhead just inside the engine comparment on the right side. It is the back side of the air cleaner compartment. you can acess it by crawling under and reaching up into the viod that is between the bulkhead and the back bumper..
Test it by using a wire to go between the 2 smaller electrical conection posts.
Hope this is helpful.
