We are currently at the OB , Oregon Inlet. NPS opened campgrounds yesterday but I can not speak for the commercial campgrounds. We came in from the North and I understand the road is open all the way. As of today, you can not go on Ocracoke Island unless you belong there but that should be clear by the time you get here. They said they are trying to open it within a few days to everyone.

We have been thinking about coming down if we can get our plumbing issues squared away. We usually come down right after Labor day or in the spring so we have never tried roughing it at Oregon Inlet. We usually stay at the KOA at Rodanthe. Don't know how the storm affected them this time, but under normal circumstances they have an expensive but great campground. Being right on the ocean, they have really taken a couple of hard licks from storms recently.
