Just traded in our 06 Inspire on an 07 Intrigue. Drove it home last night from Junction City (Premier RV) to Medford last night. Quite a difference between the 2 coaches. Spending time now acquainting myself with the unfamiliar features that I didn't have on the Inspire (Hydro Hot, Silverleaf for starters). In addition, the previous owner had installed a lot of extra electronics to the unit.
Only issue that I've found so far is that some of the buttons on the Smart Wheel aren't behaving. Haven't had the opportunity to check grounds and connections yet. Oh, one other issue is that the Silverleaf is not sensing transmission data. Another connection to check.

I had issues with my smart wheel buttons a little over a year ago. The wipers would come on for no reason and I'd use the button to turn them off. Then they wouldn't come on at all. The. The cruise quit working, then the horn. It was resolved with a new clock spring.

I've been trying to read up on this. Haven't found a whole lot yet other than a few comments on forums. Is this something you fixed yourself or did you take it to someone?

Paul, your coach number will be on the data sticker usually located inside the medicine cabinet over the vanity. It seems like I heard the last five digits of your VIN is you coach number too. I may be wrong on the VIN though.

Premier has a good reputation.
Have you called back to ask them if they inspected this functionality of the coach, before selling it to you? Perhaps just ask them what they want you to do? Do they want you to take it to a shop to debug? Or, do they want to send a tech to represent them in Medford to look over the functionality of the Smart Wheel.
Suspect the contract says 'As Is'. Hopefully you had an independent inspector (No slight to Premier on this comment. At these price points, and complex coaches, having another set of eyes that you are funding look a coach over, is always a good thing to do.) (And of course, that is not helping you now debug this problem. But, could help others in the future.) look over the coach?
Either way, Premier really does try to work with customers in post sales, and I'd be surprised if they don't respond to a call for help... Hopefully short of having you drive it back to them to look over:)!
Fingers crossed for you, and hope it is a minot item. Do enjoy the Intrigue, it is a different level of coach for sure, then your previous:)! (And to be clear, not a slight to that rig at all. They're a fine coach, and usually heads above the competition at that level/model coach:)!).
Enjoy,
Smitty

I have yet to call them regarding this issue, but I intend to do so. I wanted to check if it was something simple (i.e. poor ground, loose wire connection, etc). So far, I haven't found that to be the case and suspect it is probably the clock spring as others have had to replace.
Yes, the contract is As-Is (rare to not be in this day and age). Premier has already done a lot to fix issues and items we wanted addressed. I have been very pleased with Premier from our first visit, through the sales process, and on through the delivery process, along with their willingness to address issues. We rather pressed the timeline with them, not wishing to spend the night there on delivery day. In retrospect, we should have done so. 50-50 hindsight always is better :) Had that been the case, I would have discovered (perhaps) the nuances and could have addressed it immediately. In any case ........ in the end, it will get addressed and resolved.
The trip home was good. The coach performed to my expectations with the exceptions already discussed. The coach was beautifully maintained and is head over heels a major step up from our prior coach. You're correct that the Inspire is no slouch when put up against other manufacturer's coaches of similar price points, but the Intrigue is a giant step forward in many aspects.
We plan on attending the NWCC rally in Salem at Thanksgiving. Anyone else going from the area going?

Quick question for other Intrigue owners. My coach came with 2 group 31 chassis batteries (flooded). Was curious as to what battery size originally came with the Intrigue (Cat C13 525 HP) and/or what others of you are using for the chassis batteries.
My current batteries are not an issue but was just curious about going to a maintenance free battery at some point.

I had my two original house Lifeline AGM's for 12 years. Just shut off most everything on the inside breakers and kept them plugged in to 20amp whenever coach was stored. Float charging works wonders IMHO. Good luck and safe travels.

Just left Premier this afternoon. They repaired the Silverleaf and the SmartWheel, as well as adjusting and calibrating auto-leveling and ride heights and installed 2 MCD shades in the bedroom. Good people at Premier!

Sort of, Lee. The tech used a bypass switch to determine whether the clock spring was screwed up or not. When he removed the wiring harness, he found that it was very difficult to remove and wedged in. The bypass switch revealed the system to be working fine so he concluded that the wiring harness was screwed up and replaced that. Works fine, now.
This is just a brief layman's revelation by someone who is not fully fluent in VIP wheel speak. :)
From my understanding, he had ruled out the control board as the problem based on my observation of what worked and what didn't (the cruise control functioned fully and this was what triggered his decision). The other problem would have been the clock spring not properly performing. In my case, it was a bit simpler issue of a connection issue.
Again, he only gave me a brief synopsis and I'm just not that familiar with the system to give a more technical answer :)
