When you tow a vehicle with your coach, you need to have an umbilical that goes from your coach to your tow vehicle or trailer that controls the brake lights, turn signals, etc. In order to protect the motorcoach vehicle lighting system from feedback power coming from the tow vehicle but still provide power and signals to the tow car, country coach built a "towboard" which is basically a set of circuits that take signals from the coach when you set the brakes, use the headlights or turn signals and "repeat" those signals out to the tow vehicle or trailer. The signals pass through the towboard but the electrical circuits from the coach to the tow vehicle are separate. Eventually the circuits on the towboard can wear out, blow from electrical surges or just fail due to weather, heat etc. Country Coach stopped making them (for awhile) and coach owners were stuck. Now Kevin (and there are others, including Country Coach) have started making them again.
