I looked there again as well as near the steps as someone else suggested. I reviewed the owner manual and that was little help. Finally I decided to start the engine. Much to my surprise it started instantly. A few minutes later I tried the generator and it started right away. I turned the engine off after 15 minutes, but let the gen run for two hours.

At least you have good batteries.

I know it will seem obvious to some, but check that all your battery cables are tightly fastened to the battery terminals. I just experienced that head scratcher.

Hi Richard,

I just signed on to this site........out of loneliness I guess!!

Glad to see that you got the batteries recharged. The batteries that run the generator are the four main house batteries, there are no batteries dedicated to start the gen. It is important to remember to turn off BOTH of the battery disconnect switches when putting the coach into storage. Those switches are located on the top of the frame compartment by each of the sets of batteries. There is a parasitic drain on the batteries due to all of the little controllers, engine computer, etc., etc. that will drain down the batteries when is storage. The batteries can be damaged if they are allowed to run down to zero. The procedure you used to start the engine is the correct one to use in the future. In a worse case situation, you should be able to "jump" the engine batteries and start the engine, then start the generator.

Good luck
