I was looking through my files and found a viewing distance chart for your reference in buying a new 4K Display. I sit at 8 ft when viewing my 32" display in the coach which means my eyes can only resolve about 600 horizontal dots of resolution. So buying anything over 720p resolution is a waste. But when you figure a 4K set of the same size -is anywhere from 3 to 6 times as bright with 4 to 8 times the dynamic range the 4K display will look better. Plus the processing of the newer sets is much better and will reduce image blur. All good things. So its the total package. At home I sit at 16 ft from the display and in order to take advantage of the full 4K resolution would have to own a screen so large it is off the chart . 240" maybe 300". In a motor home at 8 ft, would be 120 inches. Remember how some Prevost, Intrigue, Newell and Magnas there is only one sofa with the screen being placed across the room in the opposite slide. Thats a greater than 11 ft. viewing distance. Where's that 180 inch screen?. Just kidding of course. TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731
