Hello,

I am new to the group and have an 06 Intrigue with a Cummins 400ISL.
I took the coach out from storage and noticed the exhaust brake (Jake Brake I believe) was not working. I also noticed the exhaust would billow black smoke when accelerating from a stopped position. The relay for the EB in the front compartment seems to be fine. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

400 ISL may have a label on the dash that says exhaust brake, but you have an engine brake. I don't remember but around 2010 I developed a leak in the piping that Cummins Northwest caught that they repaired that would have put my engine break out of commission. They were rebuilding the fuel lift pump at the time. Sounded to me like it was a common occurrence after ISL had a some miles logged. TWI 20o4 Intrigue 11731
