As you may have read; I replaced my Charge Air Cooler and in process had to remove and drain the attached oil cooler. Which I assumed was for the transmission only. Yesterday when I refilled the transmission and started the engine; I discovered that I had no power steering. Checking the hydraulic reservoir I discovered that it needed six quarts of fluid just to regain power steering.

How is this possible? It appears that the power steering system and transmission fluids are co-mingled at the oil cooler. This Dynomax has a Cat C-10 with Allison HD4060 transmission. So if I decide to change transmission fluid over to Transynd synthetic; I would have to somehow evacuate the power steering system and change it also?
