Hi,

Any recent reports on hwy 199 from Grants Pass to Cresent City? We are contemplating travel in that area this summer.

You can go to Current Conditions (http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/roadinfo/display.php?page=us199)

We just came down the coast of Oregon. We planned to take 101 South to Leggett CA and then on to Highway 1. We were surprised by a "road closed" sign. Does pay to check ahead! The road you asked about is a long, slow, twisty drive that we have enjoyed a few times. You will do fine, but just can't be in a hurry. Michael51748

I haven't done this trip for 4-5 years, but the last time I did, it was fine. No problems and a pretty drive.

Thanks for the feedback, but after I sent the original message, our plans changed and we will be going north on I-5 instead of thru the redwoods. Next time.
