I'm almost done fixing my new to me 1995 40' Captiva Affinity. Mostly small things, the coach looks and drives like it's only two years old. I need a new dead bolt lock for the main door. I've tried locksmiths and home depot with no luck so far.

Thanks for any help and for having this great group.

Yep Amazon for my 1995.

I bought it because the little latch receiver plate in the door frame had the thin side broken out of it.

Never used the dead bolt mechanism at all.

Amazon.com: Valterra L32CS3008 5/8" Throw Single Cylinder Deadbolt (Viewpack)... (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006N5SOE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)

My problem was that the door would not stay latched with the door handle engaged. The deadbolt striker would hold it closed but the latch plate was broken so the striker was just being held by the door frame metal.

I accidentally fixed the real problem when I replaced the door's air spring. That brought everything into adjustment along with the security of the new latch receiver plate.
