Would it be possible, (or a good idea) to put 365-70-22.5 tires on the front of a 2007 Intrigue in place of the 295-70-22.5. This coach has a Holland/Neway suspension. It was suggested to me that the coach would ride a lot smoother, the tires would carry less pressure, support more weight, etc. But you would be pushing more weight and I don't know if the suspension was designed for the extra weight and mass of the new rims and tires. Approx six numbers after mine was built, they changed to a new (brand) front end that was a little heavier. Coach # 12099. Thanks for all replys, Lee

My 07 Intrigue (12153) came from the factory with 315s on the front, 295s on the rear. This combination has worked well for me. You typed 365, is that a typo?

I would be very cautious with this. Not only will your unsprung weight increase, but the width and diameter of the tires will be quite a bit larger. You'd be well advised to carefully measure clearances inside the wheel wells, both at ride height and aired down. In my Coach, there is very little extra room inside the wheel wells when she's sitting down on the stops...

The 365/70R22.5 was originally developed for Prevost Car to handle 21,000 lbs on the front axle. The wheel is unique (10.50").
The 365/70 is 14.3" wide and 42.5" tall, versus 11.8" wide and 41.3" tall for a 295/80R22.5 on a 9.00" wheel. Do you have room in the wheel well?
If you are carrying the maximum load for the 295/80 (7830 lbs per tire), then you would only need 90 psi in the larger tire (8070 lbs at 90 psi).

Rims and studs must be changed to accommodate 365's. Wheel well room is a critical factor in running 365's.

Our 2009 Intrigue 12314 originally had 315's on all axles. In 2013 we purchased new tires through the FMCA program and at that time put 365's on the front. Those do require wider wheels, I believe only available from Alcoa. Handling and ride are better and there were no clearance or alignment issues. At the time of purchase, differing FET had 315's less expensive than 295's and the 365's comparable in price so additional cost came only due to different wheels needed.

A number of coaches come with 365's. Foretravel, Newell etc.

Hi Pat, the wheel well problem is what I don't know yet. But your info on tire pressure is exactly what I have been told and why 365's would give a better ride at a lower pressure.

Country Coach used 365's on Magnas & Affinitys the last couple years of production. Damon Rapozo's website is a good source for production change info.
