My drivers side wiper is out of sync with the passenger side and is going to far down on the left side. What would cause this and is there an easy fix? Thanks, Archie Ritch

Archie,
The only time my wipers are in sync w/each other is when they are set on 'intermittent'. Otherwise, if they're operating continuously, they won't both run @ exactly the same speed and will get out ofsync w/each other.
In the off position, they should both be the same distance from the windshield center divider (about 3-4"). They can be adjusted by removing the nut that holds the arm in place. It's on a splined shaft. Wiggle it (some tapping may be required) until it comes off and then re-position it so they both match.

Archie,
I have a 99 intrigue was told it has 2 motors and no linkage to sync wiper arms so out of sync is normal. Mine usually start off together then as they run they get out of sync. I do use rain X every 6 month or so and usually only use intermittent settings so it is not as noticeable.

The wiper mounts on a cone, there is a nut behind the cute plastic cover in the middle of the wiper arm mounting point. Remove this cover, usually light prying with a small screwdriver will do it, loosen nut, reposition wiper, tighten nut. It is easy to do if you "pin" the wiper off the windshield. There is a hole in the wiper about 2 or 3 inches from the pivot point what you can insert a small nail, drill bit etc, in to hold the wiper off the windshield while doing this.

Try this link this is OEM supplier for my CC a 1997 Allure, I would think it would be for your also. They sell new wiper arms and complete blades. They fit properly without any modification.
They are not inexpensive
