Suspension Geeks:

I have a  2006 Allure and my understanding is that it has a Neway IFS front end and a Ridewell RD46 rear drive..

Can any one confirm these descriptions?

This is an issue because I bought Koni  FSD 88051013 shock for my drive axle and when the CAT dealer went to install he said that they did not fit. The Koni website does not show and Allure with a Ridwell Rear.

The Koni tech while pleasant did not know the answer and asked for the number on the shock that is presently installed. I will try to get to that number. In the meantime any ideas?

Dan:

Installed Koni's on my 2006 Allure 31309 this spring.

Fronts - 99B3254
Drive - 91051002
Tag - 88051011

If these numbers are not Koni numbers, Call Kaiser Alignment, 541-344-5887, for the Koni number.

You'll like the new shocks.

Hope the numbers provided help you!!!

But will share an opinion that the FSD are not required on the Drive or Tag positions. The Koni SP3 on the Drive and Tag, will provide you with more options due to the 1 - 5 setting adjustments. The coach will handle as well, or perhaps better on higher settings. From the Driver or Passenger seats, you will not feel an improvement in ride comfort with the FSD's.

On the Steers, the Koni EVO 99, if available for your coach, is a FSD like functioning shock, but more robust then the 'Gold' Koni FSD's...

And of course, opinions will vary:)!
Best to you, and all,
