I had a '98 Intrigue but memory fails me. If, when you plug into shore power, there is a 2+ minute delay until power is indicated in your coach, then you have a built-in surge protector.

Hopefully, better knowledge will be forthcoming.

(Loved my '98)

On the 1998 Affinity they installed a " Shore Guard" surge protector. It is mounted under the electrical panel (which has to be loosen an pulled up out of the way to gain access to it) which I only have replacement instructions from CC, I haven't found any literature on the net.
