Compressed Air Hose Quick Connect in the first bay on the drivers side....
With the coach running will that air connection out out enough pressure to top off my front tires with a portable air hose?
Embarrassed to have to ask, but wanted some input before running out the door to Les Schwabs.

Yes and no. The compressor has to be running to reach maximum pressure. Better of to use a compressor designed to fill RV tires

Yes, someone posted a you tube video here on the subject last month. With the main engine on when pressure is building past 110 psi you can service the tires. Problem is once it reaches @ 120 it kicks off and stays off till it gets below 90. Then it starts the build cycle again. You can speed this process up by pumping the brakes. That connection is really there for a tow truck driver to back flow air into your system to release the park brake and air up the air bags to ride height. I have used it before as a compressed air source, but it is really tricky to use it to air up your tires. With the governor cutting in/out, it is hard to time it right to get high pressure for tires. The air compressor generates high pressure, but not much volume. So in theory, yes you could use it, but in all practicality it is not that realistic. Get yourself a 12 volt Viair 400 portable compressor, with air air gun/gauge for about $180. It is much easier. Quieter too.

No unfortunately. You can get close, but if you want 120 lbs for the Tag and front tires, no way. I use a pressure doubler, that Les Schwab in Junction City sells. It brings my 315's from 110 to 120 lbs in 60 to 90 seconds for each tire using the coaches air outputs as a source to double . The doubler I have I purchased in 2000 as I remember and still works like new. Its small and light weight and easy to use. TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731

That video was posted by RVGeeks since that video they have changed their position and now recommend an air compressor made by Viair. I purchased mine on Amazon it is made specifically for large motor homes

I can because I increased my tire size when they were replaced and now the onboard compressor will top off my tires at 105 psi.

Do these Viar units plug into a power source other than battery terminals? Doesn't make sense to me having to power off my batteries way far back on my unit. Maybe it's just me though lol.

They are 12 volte only. They come with 2 30' hi pressure hoses best option is to hook to battery on the road

It comes with 2 long flex type air hoses, so you can easily reach all of the tires. I hook up to my house batteries, mid coach, but it will reach the other side tires easily.

I bought the Viair 400P kit with 2 air hoses and air gun with gauge. Works great!

The one I have is the 400P RV. Did not like the part that hooks to the tire [rim] valve , So changed it to one like the tire shops use. You can connect it to the valve and it will stay hooked until you pull it off. Works great now.
