Thank

The mfg. of the chair, don't remember their name, was bought out by Villa Int.

Look at the safety belt buckle and see if their is a letter stamped on the buckle. If there is tell us. TWI 2004 Intrigue 11731

There is a symbol or two stacked letters on the buckle but I can not tell what it is. Talking to suppliers it appears that my only option is to go with Villa at $3000 a seat and that is more than I want to spend on a 11 year old coach at my time in life.

Has anyone had there seats upholstered?

I am currently having my cushions recovered at Stans automotive upholstery in Eugene OR. The cost of $750 a seat if they remove the seats. Top quality work I understand.

Are they redoing just the seat or? ? ? ?  On my seats the cording on the part where you sit is going fast. The rest of the chair is fine.

I have had estimates of $1400-$1600 each but I don't have any idea about the quality.

Please let me know how they turnout.

I am having just the cushions recovered. I went by today and the have taken the seats completely apart and are repairing some vibration motors that did not function and re-enforcing the foam area in the front of the cushions, they have broken down. These guys know these seats like the back of their hands! They have rebuilt many of them. I was very impressed. I will keep you posted.

We have our rebuilt captain chairs cushions installed and I couldn't be happier!! John at Stand automotive upholstery, 542-342-5866, went out of his way and left no stone unturned! He rebuilt a couple of vibration motors that did not function, insulated the wiring in a few of the motors to keep them from shorting out as well as reworking the foam at the front of the cushions to give them a firmer feel and to keep them from breaking down again. He did an excellent job!! We had a difficult time finding the right material to match but he found one that's about as perfect as you could get.

There is a tag on the rear skirt that has the description of the seat as well as the material mfg # and color, it was not accurate for my particular seats so don't rely on that number for ordering material. The color on my tag said "custard" but there was no material manufactured by Ultra Leather by that color.

The only thing I would do different next time would be leave the rope off around the top of the cushions, but I would ask for Johns suggestion first. I think this is why the seats break down in the first place.

The total price was $1650.00 total for both cushions, and believe me after seeing these seats disassembled I'm glad I let Stans do it instead of me removing the cushions and sending them to them because most of the areas that are problematic in the wiring is in the seat base not the cushion itself. Total time was about 2 days! I will try posting some before and after shots so stay tuned!

Cheers my friends and have a wonderful day!

I am very interested too. I have that same issue where the piping behind my knees on seat cushion is wearing through. I want to have the seat cushion recovered. I found a custom auto upholstery place near my house, but he wants me to remove the seat from coach. It looks heavy and unwieldy. Maybe better for Stan's to remove it... I know, I am getting lazy in my more senior years...

Great news! Really appreciate this reference, and will almost certainly have ours done there next Spring. Do you have a website or email for them, Dennis?

Stan'sautoupholstery.com I recommend calling well in advance to set up an appointment, he was 4 weeks out when I made my appointment. Well worth the wait!

I would like to also throw in a good word for Oregon Motor Coach! They did a great job on a bedroom slide lower channel that had a slight case of electrolysis. They replaced it and I couldn't tell the difference from new! Thanks to all the employees there, Matt and Elaina are doing a great job of recruiting new members to their force!! Good luck guys! Hope I don't have to see you for awhile!! Lol
