Anyone know who has the best deal on regular flooded 8D engine batteries? Sam's Club? Costco does not sell them I just discovered.

Richard, I've had good luck working with independent shops specializing in batteries for heavy equipment. Got great prices on my last 2 sets of Dekas.
I could send you my last invoice from 3 months ago. My coach is 11 years old and I just finished only my second set of Dekas.

NAPA parts stores usually have good prices on 8D's.

Try your local CAT dealer.

It has been my experience that Sam's Club offers the lowest price for standard, wet cell 8-D batts. However, you may want to check your local Club as they may not have it in stock. Availability seems to be based on demand at each location. My local store carries Interstate. They have always been reliable for me. My last pair lasted about 8 years.

If you have the AITA discount card for NAPA they have great pricing with the card.

Richard - For sure not the lowest price:)!
But the CAT Maintenance Free 8D has 1500 CCA. Ours single starter battery, ISL, has had three times where a it has been dropped pretty low voltage wise. (X's 2 with a BMK fuse, which I had the wrong inline fuse until I caught it was too low. And one time, recently, where the fog lights were left on all night. The fog light draining was the lowest it ever drained down to.) Each time, a careful full recharge, brought it back. No question I probably loss some life out of it, but wanted to share how dang resilient it seems to be...
I'm going to be going to AGM for the next starter battery, so I can close of the egg crate grill at the bottom of the compartment in prep for lithium house batteries down the road. And here is some info on the ones I'm considering. (And Richard, all, this is not an intent to try and talk anyone over to AGM starter battery(s) - it's just info sharing:)!)
CAT 8D Maintenance Free (wet) Starter Battery (Current Starter Battery)
L20.47 X W10.8 X H9.76 WT132LBS CCA1500
Lifeline GRP31Starter
L12.9 X W6.74 x H9.27 WT67LBS CCA 810 (X's 2)
Lifeline GPL-4DL RV
L20.76 X W8.7 X H8.64 WT124 CCA 1100
Lifeline GLL-8DA RV
L20.76 X W10.89 X H8.64 WT156 CCA 1350
In addition to the above Lifeline, I'm also considering Fullriver GRP31 and Trojan Overdirve GRP31's too. Since I will not make the swap until the CAT is finally going out for the count - things for sure can change before I make the switch.
And reminder for anyone considering Lifeline's for house/starter. Give former CC owner, now Prevost (Last i heard.) Tom a chance to quote you a set. He provided great guidance for me in the process, and I felt a fair price. Good people. (Email below)
Best to all,

Thanks Smitty. I will investigate. As far as Lifeline 8D's for starting batteries I can highly recommend them. Mine have finally crapped out but after 10 years. I would be replacing them with same but cannot afford it at the moment. Batteries Plus has these sealed flat top Duracell's that look like a pretty good deal and don't leak like the ones with the caps from what I've heard.
