You can find the details for Michelin and Continental at, https://www.fmca.com/fmca-tire-program.html (https://www.fmca.com/fmca-tire-program.html) . Basically you find a dealer that participates in the program, ensure they have the tires you need, provide their information to FMCA, and coordinate an appointment as directed. Payment for the tires is made to FMCA, you pay the dealer for installation. My total cost ended up being less than my mechanic's cost of the tire.

You go your local authorized Michelin dealer and explain what you would like to purchase and you want to take advantage of the FMCA member discount program. They connect you with Michelin and You purchase the Tires over the phone. In my case using my credit card. They then speak to the Manager of the of either sales or service and issue them a authorization code. Then the dealer installs the tires at a pre-negotiated price you authorized and pay the dealer directly for installation, no discount. Then a month or so later you will see the tire purchase charged to your account. In my case I got 25% off on 315R 22.5. Because the Continentals that were defective and could not be replaced quickly, Continental bought my 315's back. Which paid for the Michelin installation with a credit left over.
