We have the original Panasonic TV in the bedroom. Has anyone removed the this tv and replaced with flat screen TV? If so, now?

Bill, I changed our my original Panasonic CRT tv several years ago with a Samsung LED tv. Here's a pic with the result.

Hi Bill,
Yes I did exactly that. I first bought a wall hanging TV mount. Using the frame of the TV as a guide I had a carpenter build a plywood backing for the wall mount and modify the wall mount a little to have access to the back of the TV connections. Screw the TV to wall mount, screw the wall mount and the frame to the plywood.
Bought a piano hinge, nice brass handle and a gas strut (not sure of the proper name. We have them on the bay doors to hold them open). Screw the hinge to the TV box and the plywood. Screwed the gas 'strut' to the TV box and the frame
Hope that makes sense. Not complicated I just don't have the skill to do it myself. Any questions, feel free to call 520-873-8001
