If you like to fish, travel down to Soldotna, as you cross the Kenai River, on the left you will see an RV Campground. Salmon fishing is very good therein July for Sockeye's, which will come in at 8-12 lbs each.
If you travel to FAIRBANKS, park the coach and jump into the truck and head north up the Dalton highway to the Arctic Circle, about 20 miles north of the Yukon River bridge. If you continue another hours drive, you will be in Coldfoot. Good food and fuel is available there. Another 20 miles north puts you at Wiseman, a gold mining area in the Brooks Range mountains.
Fun times,
