Hey Guy's Can any one of you that have the Country Coach Prevost conversions tell me what the pressure switch for the Thomas aux compressor be set on and also if this aux compressor has any thing to do with the air leveling system. The number on the Aux compressor is a 405adc38/12.

Your question is a little unclear, but a lot depends on the year of the conversion. In earlier conversions, it is a 12 volt compressor behind the panel in the first bay roadside.

The aux compressor usually is used for level adjustments when parked. Otherwise it can be set to 40 or 50 lbs so it will operate house stuff , but that pressure will not maintain the leveling.

Sorry I didn't provide enough info but mine is a 1994 CC Edmonton and it does have the dinky little 12V compressor .I have a new compressor ordered (which oddly enough)is still available. This compressor is rated at 100 psi and I am wondering if the compressor can stand 100 psi .I ordered a rebuild kit and rebuilt the old one but it will only come up to about 80 psi then it will run till it blows a 20 amp fuse without raising the psi a bit more. My bus Guru says he would throw this 12V compressor away and put a 120V in there since there is 120V available in the compartment .I don't have a problem with that but I am trying to replace with what CC installed since that is what is listed in all the specs and I don't want to throw any curve balls to a future owner .

Hello .

We have a 20004 Country Coach Prevost. I answered you off group. Short answer, if it is air driven and the engine is off, yes the aux-air provides the air.

If there are any other Prevost Country Coach owners, I would love to hear from you. On or off group.

No Scott, We were't there. We are nut doing a whole lot of traveling because of the MIL's health. Ninety two years brings on a lot of things that we didn't see coming. As a matter of fact .I have been seriously thinking about selling mine because we are not using it that much and these things were meant to be run .I bought mine from a less than reputable dealer and have spent a fortune on it trying to get it back to where the grand old girl should be including all new air bags .new bus air compressor, three new roof tops an in frame rebuild (old Driptroit had stopped dripping and gone to pouring } My bus Guru said he couldn't believe it but the bottom end was like new but the rings etc was a mess Add another 10 grand in for a number of other bits and pieces and that easily adds up to at least twenty grand more than I will ever be able to sell it for .I started this as a labor of love but the honey moon is about over. I've finally come to the realization that like public education, no matter how much money I put in this thing, it will never be enough!!

I usually replace them with a California Air Compressor about 170 on Amazon.
