According to Headhunter, my weak flush is due to the expansion tank otherwise known as the puffer. I ordered one.
Any words of advice before I tackle this project? Looks straight forward.

I had a local RV tech do it 3 yrs ago, and it worked out fine. Headhunter was very helpful. Can't say I like the tank's location to work in, but love the toilet system. Safe travels.

Didn't get much response to this post. However, I tackled this project anyway. This design is a total cluster F**K. I was to strangle whoever designed how this was installed in these high end coaches. End up braking the PVC piece in the process. But I discovered it's the only way to remove it!! I happen to be on the road, so bought all new tools to reinstall at home depot. I guess I should do a small write up on how to do this for others. The new tank is unbelievable. Never knew it was supposed to work this good!!
New tank - $258
Supplies - $50
Experience - priceless.
Got 'er done.

Great idea on the article. We would love to have it for the CCI library. Send it to Lee Zbrowski or to me and I'll see that he gets it.
Thanks in advance

Maybe the lack of response was partly because some of us have no clue what a Puffer Tank is...
Would you mind enlightening us?

Yes please.

Don, it's an expansion tank that turns a regular flush into a water jet to macerate the waste and force it in the black tank. I will do a write up in a few days.

OK. I had no clue. I've got the Tecma electric macerator toilet on my '08 Allure, and I'm guessing I don't have one. That would certainly explain why I was clueless. Thanks Todd.
Looking forward to the write-up anyway. Every data point adds to the knowledge base...

I think i have something similar on my coach, but it was refereed to as an Accumulator Tank. When the tech look into removing it (and replacing it with the new one i had purchased online) he also felt it was going to be very difficult to remove the old one since the fittings appeared not to be removable without cutting them out.
I learned that by removing the straps and then rotating the whole tank by hand i was able to have the old tank removed without cutting any of the fittings. New tank went back in with no problems.

Yeah, I thought mine would have been that easy. If they left off the plastic base that came with the tank, it would have been. They just weren't thinking that day when they put mine together.
