Have a Thetford ball-mount pedestal toilet that is not holding water. Has been an off and on problem for the past couple of years. Anybody else dealt with this? Have cleaned the rubber seal a couple of times. Seems my choices are to again clean the seal or replace the toilet. It is 16 years old. Any thoughts?

I have replaced my toilet seals probably four times. Each time for same problem as you describe. The seals wear out. Sometimes you can tighten the band and stop the leak. Not hard to replace and Kevin can help walk you thru.
