With National Interstate hanging it up, I've been getting quotes for insurance for my 1994 Magna. About the best I've seen so far is Geico. Any thoughts?

Did you try SAFCO, they had a better rate than National.

Ditto, but price went up too about $180 more a year on a $20k less value coach.

I've had my '06 Magna insured with Allstate 9plus home and three cars) for a number of years. I don't know how competitive their rate is, but I do know that they've been fantastic on my coach claim (Premier fire last Fall). Not a peep, complaint, hassle, or even a question about the damage. So far, between homeowners coverage for cleaning the contents and coach coverage for the damage to integral parts to the coach (paint, blinds, awnings, everything plastic on the roof, etc.) we're approaching $55K and they've paid without question.

Admittedly, their claims people didn't understand what a high end coach really was, but they were willing to trust the experts at Premier and at the remediation company (Belfor) to tell the truth and do the right thing. I'm really impressed, since a no hassle claim is worth a helluva lot more than a few dollars at premium time.

Now if the cancel me or double my rates, I'll let you know, but since it was a comprehensive claim, I doubt it.

I just moved mine from Progressive to Allstate. Saved a few dollars. Not too thrilled with their service so far. Progressive was the best I ever had for claims processing. I may come to regret the move.

I have had Progressive for 14 yrs and found them to be excellent with road service and claims. Safe travels.

Randy I continue to have purchase price coverage at a fixed figure. Replacement coverage ended several years ago.

I have had Progressive since 2007. You have your choice of coverage. I dropped replacement cost coverage for a value I set and lowered my premium by almost 50%. The NADA amount was higher than you can buy a coach for. I called the company not a local rep. You have to be firm.

I have progressive also since the coach was new. I dropped the value it was insured for about 3 years ago. It was still insured for the full purchase price. So 11 years later it is insured for a few thousand less. Probably next year I will look at dropping it again.

I check with other companies every few years but so far no one can match the coverage for the price.
