Title: Dash air and Ice maker...

Two issues that I can't seem to figure our. #1 - My dash air will not blow air from the vents that are behind the steering wheel area. The cold air arrives at the lower level vents but not from the knee level vents at the dash. I have checked what I though was the fuse and it was good. Beyond that I am lost. #2 When my ice maker fills the ice tray it makes a "brrrrrrr" vibrating like sound right after filling. I have replaced the water valve with no change. Any ideas.

Thanks in advance,

Steve......Take a look up under the dash. The flexible hoses that feed the outlets may have come disconnected.

Take the 14" x 25" or so access panel off the dash (mounted vertically) just inside the coach on right. I had a similar issue. Behind that you should find the ac/heat vent gates. There are small vacuum lines that activate (open and close) vent gates, I think yellow lines, like 1/8" in diameter. In my case, one of those had come off and the upper or lower (can't remember) gate would not open. Plugged it back in and presto, all vents working.

Steve, the dash air vents are fed by flexible tubes under the dash which can become disconnected from the supply plenum or at the vent itself. Trace each one and repair as needed.

Think Keith has it right. On my 2000 Magna, several of the vacuum hoses to the controls on the AC/Heat unit on the right side behind the removeable dash panel was disconnected. In particular, the yellow hose is too short and is easily pulled off if anything is moved behind the dash; like replacing the radio and pulling on wires. Also, on mine the manifold with all the hoses connected to the dash controls near your right knew was not plugged into the back of the controls.
