Recap: I have a RS2000 inverter/charger in my 2008 motorhome. While traveling last week in 90+ temperatures I had the generator running and the air conditioner on. The generator shut down for some unknown reason and when I restarted it the air conditioner would not come on. There was no fault indication on the generator panel, and no fault indications on the Inverter panel. However, the load panel showed the generator connected but only the two bottom lights (Bed A/C Fan, Front A/C Fan) were illuminated. When we arrived at the campground, I plugged in to the 50 amp service and when it came on, I had the same result. I checked the electric hot water and it was not heating and the dryer wasn't working.
Here are all the things I have checked and actions I have taken...
- Surge protector.. All indications normal
- 120V distribution Panel. All circuit breakers normal and all connections 120 to 124 Volts.
- Silverleaf Diagnostics (generator). No faults
- Inverter control panel. No faults or warnings.
Here are the things I tried:
- Disconnected shore power and generator off for 10 minutes... no change.
- Checked all 120V outlets in motorhome... checked okay.
- Tripped and reset all circuit breakers... no change.
- Even though no faults or warnings were indicated, I reset the control panel... no change.
- Reset the RS2000 using the reset button... no change.
I don't know what else I can do. One thing that really puzzles me is the load panel shows only the front and bed A/C light illuminated, yet all the circuit breakers are on and transmitting power. Where is the power to the A/C's being stopped?
Anyone have any suggestions?

Max,
The load control panel with the lights on it is a load shedding device. There are separate relays inside your panel for each light. There is also a control circuit board to control these relays. My guess is the circuit board has failed.

The last time I had a problem with the panel I found that you have to shut off both the chassis and coach batteries to reset the panel. Coach, salesman switch first, then the chassis/starter battery, leaving them both off for a minute or so. Be sure to disconnect from shore power first.

I would do a hard reset on inverter. Remove positive battery connection on House an engine batteries. Let it sit for a few minutes. It's worked for me a couple times.

Try some Google searches or group email searches. I pulled one that might help you troubleshoot the problem if you know a little about electricity. https://www.your-rv-lifestyle.com/air-conditioner-questions.html
Should help at least to find out where the power stops. Reseting the thermostat might help depending on the system you have.

And the winner is... Gaylord Coston!
I followed his suggestion to remove all power from the coach, disconnect the house batteries and disconnect the chassis batteries. I did this right before retiring for the night and when I reconnected this morning and started the generator all systems returned to normal... We have air conditioning!
Thank You Gaylord and all the folks that offered suggestions!

Max Was there a resolve to this issue, I'm having the same problem, no air, no electric hot water, no washer.
Not tried the inverter reset, will do so later this evening when I get home.
