Currently parked in Anacortes WA and it is getting chilly so we turned on the electric blanket and..... Nothing. It seems that the outlets on both sides of the bed are not working... Checked the AC panel and not sure what to check next. Inverter breakers are fine, we are plugged in at 50 amps and everything else seems to be perfect. No GFI outlets around that may feed these outlets. Open wire in one outlet that may feed the other?? Any ideas??

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Double check circuit breakers, reset GFI outlets

My GFI does all the outlets accept the Microwave. Try restting yours. I often trip mine when I plug stuff in.

If you have a modified sine wave inverter it boobably killed your electric blanket.

Jim coachless now.

As stated, GFCI is the first thing to check. If the GFCI is ok and none of the other outlets are working then find the secondary breaker box coming out of the inverer. Mine is located in the first bay, passenger side and has two breakers; one for the microwave and one for all the rest of the outlets powered by the inverter. These outlets are on the same circuit as the GFCI.

There is a GFCI outlet in your coach. My GFCI is located at floor level in the bedroom on the wall under the circuit breaker box. Not sure how your coach is configured as I have a 40' 2000 Magna.

Note that electric blankets with electronic controls do not like modified sine wave and probably will not work. The controller will be destroyed.

One to keep in mind is the gfi can look ok and still have issue. So trip any gfi and then reset.
