You can get them put on at a rally for $125 installed with no sales tax. Just had 2 installed in tucson in 15 minutes. House batteries were $165 including tax and installation. Mine were 4 years old so it was about time

Bill gabler hello.
I am curious about your batteries. I am still running on the originals in your old coach (built 1999). Were yours bad or showing signs of weekness. I am wondering if my logic about tying the engine and coach batteries together as is done by Country Coach is possibly the cause of premature demise of coach batteries. Hard to say at this point. I won't be surprised if they go this year but mine will have to have a dead cell before I will call them out. Reduced capacity, I can deal with. Rember I run my Ham radio with a 5oo watt amplifier drawing 75 amps on peeks directly off the coach batteries. Time will tell Jim Green Intrigue 11021

Bill,
Which Battery did you get? Sam's Club will install Champion 8D 1300 Cranking Amps for $99. They seem to be Chassis type. I have priced DieHard to for around $115, 1100 Cranking Amps. Our batteries are 36 months old and holding betwee 50 and 75% charge.

Dekka house and chassis batteries can be purchased at the Dekka dealer in Sanford, Fl. I bought new house batteries for $136.00 without installation which took about 20 minutes max.

I have been told that Champion batteries are one of the worst on the market.

Do they also carry 8D deep cycle batteries? I'll soon be replacing all three 8D batteries in our Intrigue. I didn't notice, but the original owner outfitted this coach with three 8D starting batteries, instead of one starting ... and two deep cycle ... batteries. And the two improper house batteries didn't take kindly to our boondocking for 20 days at a stretch while here. So replacement is in order when we arrive home in a few weeks.

Jim,
We had our batteries tested by the tecks and they said we had a bad cell and they would not try to dry camp at FMCA with them in their present condition. They were dated May of 2000.
