Hello All,
I started my coach the other day, it had been sitting for a few months without me running it. It started up just fine and runs well, but their is a strange burnt odor and 3 black plugs (kind of burnt) laying on the ground (toward the rear of the coach )when I moved it. No leaks.
I drove it for about an hour with no problems, it's a Cat C-12 motor. Any idea what it could be?
Note: after the start and a little warm up I took the throttle up to 1800 for a little bit.
Sincerely

Did you get a critter up somewhere nesting? What approximate diameter were the plugs?
Glad the C12 ran well for you, that's good!!!
Best to you,

I've had birds build nests in the exhaust pipe, they came out looking a little sooty when I started the engine. I suppose rodents could also nest in the exhaust?

What kind of plugs, you mean electrical plugs?

More like black caps, 1.5 inch diameter.
