Question for those that have MCD manual roller shades: I am forced to upgrade some of my original string day/night shades. I notice that Home Depot/Lowe's have custom sized blackout roller shades for less than half the price of MCD's. Is there a difference? I probably don't have to have day night just night blackout. It's $80 vs $170 each.

WE had MCD manual shades until a couple of them broke. No parts from MCD just a 10% "loyalty" discount on new shades. Didn't need a complete set, just one of the rollers. nope had to buy complete shades. Took them all out and installed Automotion shades which are a more robust shade to begin with.

Thanks folks. I have to tell you I've read multiple awful reviews of both MCD and Automotion in terms of reliability.

I believe its inactivity of the motors.

We had the manual MCD blinds installed a year ago and are very happy with them. The sun screen part works great in reducing the heat in the coach.

Thanks! Th manual MCD shades are what we are interested in. Will check to see if they can be installed by someone who doesn't need to have the expertise if installing electric ones .

We are considering a motorized shade for the windshield and of course, looked at MCD. I just looked at the Automotion shades website. I like what they are presenting. Can you get parts?
If something is repairable, it seems a shame to me to throw it out and buy new.
