Greetings!
My OTR dash air cools intermittently. The compressor engages when I ask it to, but sometimes there is no cooling. When it works, it freezes me out, with a temperature drop approaching 30 degrees. Or... no temperature drop at all.
It appears to be a weak electrical connection, but I cannot find a likely culprit in the schematics.
Can anyone point me in a likely direction to put this issue to rest? I appreciate your expertise.
Stay safe.

Could be many things but I had trouble with was the sensor in the air box in the front of the coach. Wires are going to a $15 switch that controls the compressor. Mine was intermittent.
You could jump the switch to see if that works. The switch is there to prevent freezing I believe.

Jay,
The very cold temps when the AC comes on, and the cycling off could very well be a low charge condition. With temperatures that cold the evaporator coil will freeze up and prevent further cooling. The first thing to do is to have the charge checked.
