I need some help

After the steering gearbox was reinstalled last week the upper vents on the dash were no longer working. The shop worked on figuring it out for awhile but I ended up taking the coach home with the problem. Logically something was messed up when they were reconnecting the vacuum hoses after the install but it was also possible that it was a problem in the dash.

As of today I have the dash air working correctly but I have one air hose that I have no idea where it goes or what it does and the other main vacuum hose, while working, doesn't look correctly installed. I'm attempting to attach a couple of pics to show the present configuration but I'm not sure how successful I'm going to be.

So - what I really need is a couple of pics of the correct configuration of the vacuum hoses in the forward (under the driver's seat) electrical compartment of a 2000 Magna. I specifically need the hoses going to/from the vacuum pump and the vacuum "ball".

My phone number is 817-366-5731. If someone has a 2000 Magna in the DFW area and is willing to let me take a look at that compartment in your coach that would also work.

I appreciate any expertise you may have and pass along.

Thanks,

Dan

Dan,

I have a 2000 Magna and would be glad to try to photograph the area that you are describing. Planning to do some noodle around odd projects over the weekend. We're in Hilton Head Island, SC, so not close enough for an easy visit. Let me know if that might help.

Tom,

That would be very helpful. Thanks.

Did the 2 pics show up for you in my message? Nothing really earth shattering in the pics, but it is easy to see why even with success I have a strong suspicion it's not correct. My guess is the main vacuum line (the one stretched tight going into the ball) should have a T with both lines then going into the vacuum ball.

Anyway, your help will me much appreciated. If you would like to talk, I put my phone number in the original message.

Thanks again,

Dan

Dan,

I wasn't able to view the photos, but if you send them to my email address I may have better success opening them. Always glad to help solve our Coach mysteries.
