When I pull in the bedroom slide, the GFI trips. It is fine as long as the slide is out but just as it stops coming in, the GFI pops. I got a new GFI and put it in, but for some reason, it did not work. I put the old one back in, pulled in the slide, and POP!
Any clues as to what is going on?

Ree:
Bet it is busted insulation on the AC power wire to the outlets on the slide.
The wire is put under a lot of flex as the slide goes in and out.
You can gain access to the wires by pulling the hatch under the bed. I think
they used a type of SO (rubber covered wired) cable on my Intrigue. Pretty easy to see the power wire. You may even be able to see the damage by eye.
Should be simple to fix.
Best left to someone used to working on AC power.
Good Luck.

Thanks Jim & Fred,
Sounds like I need to stay over in Yuma until Monday and see if I can get in for service somewhere. Wish I had stayed in Tucson! Sure was hoping that someone would come up with a simple fix that I could do myself.
