I know this has been addressed before but I can't find the notes. We have a Pioneer 6400 stereo / monitor. After dead batteries or disconnected batteries, the backup monitor function needs to be re-programmed. When I get to the step of selecting "audio" the audio line will not select. It isn't lighted and the curser skips over it. Working around that step does no good. With the main chassis camera switch on, the monitor is blank as though it is trying to access the camera signal. With it off the stereo screen is normal. Does anyone have any easy fix ideas before I start measuring the video signal and looking for fuses? Doug Allure 30929

Hi Doug,

When you get to the setup screen you need to select back up monitor and below that it should read battery. I have a cheat sheet at work for this, but I am in New Mexico now. Sounds like you are in the correct area.

Good Luck,

Damon

Thanks Damon. I have the cheat sheet and get through selecting battery. It is the next step where audio will not select. I'll be around Eugene the end of the week and may stop at CC for some help.

Our camera will fade out to black if left focused on the tow car within a couple hours. However if we switch back to the XM radio in between checking the tow car it will be ok. The repair shop can't get it to fade (of couse) now they are talking about removing the camera and sending it in. Sounds to us like something is heating up and when we let it set for a couple hours then it works fine again.
Some on sight have mentioned the in line fuse but shop dosen't seem to think that has anything to do with it.

How well does it work? How does image compare to original in day light? At night?

Does it have any provision for 3 cameras with one display? Is your camera mounted in place of original or ?

The camera works great. I am amazed how great it is in the light and dark at this price. My couch is a 2000 so this new viewing screen is much bigger and clearer then the original.
I mounted the screen next to original screen and purchased another transmitter and camera that I mounted on the stainless frame on the front armour. This works great for that blind spot on passenger side.
I mounted a switch on the side councel so both cameras work on one receiver one at a time. If you need any help call me 609-758-8432

Currently we have a Pioneer AVIC-N3, which has among other things has a backup camera, this works if you are in park or in reverse. I would like it to work when the directional signals are being used, since we tow a vehicle. Can this be done? Also, considering replacing this unit for something that would have bluetooth and a backup camera. I have purchased the Garmin RV760 for directions, so I do not this unit. Honestly, I never did figure out how it works. Any suggestion on the A/V would also be very welcomed.

We are having the same issue our unit. The disk won't read and apparently with out the unit running the GPS the cameras won't work going down the road so we are also looking for a replacement, too. Dale from silverleaf is going to make some suggestions for me. I can share when I get it but if someone here can help that would be great.

Tammy,

What model is your head unit? Do you have the "Camera" dash switch?
