Title: Outside Entry Handle Light
Post by: Boyce on February 21, 2020, 06:42:04 pm
I have a 1997 Intrigue CC.  It has an outside handle to help get into the coach on the left side of the door.  The handle is mostly clear plastic.  There is a light inside the handle that shine so you can see the handle at night.  The light seems to stay on most of the time.  I can not find a switch that can turn it off and on when it is not in use.  Does anyone know if there is a switch to turn it off and on and if not do you know how long it stays on and what makes it turn off when it does go off--assuming it goes off?  Is it on all the time until it runs the battery down?  Thanks for any help you can give me on this.

Boyce, FWIW (since my coach is an '03) on my coach the lighted grab handle switch is in a panel of 4 switches at the front of our coach right next to the hinge-side of the door. In that panel, it's the switch farthest from the door. I hope that helps.

On my 2000 Magna, the handle light comes on when the awning light switch is turned on.

Perhaps another '97 Intrigue owner will come on and tell you how their's works.  If it is similar to mine and your awning light works then you know it isn't a fuse.  Perhaps a bad connection at the handle light or a problem with the bulb for the handle.
