Title: Outside ladder on rear of coach?
Post by: Cooper1951 on April 04, 2020, 05:06:22 pm
Most of the CC's I see pictures of have a ladder on the back for roof access. Mine does not (2002 Magna). Was the ladder an option or do you think mine was removed at some point?
Thank You

My 2007 Allure does not have a ladder on the back either.  Eric Olstrom (worked at CC, and on many CCs) stated it was never the plan by CC to install ladders.  I think he stated "Ron Lee said no owner should ever need to be on the roof".  Not sure of the statement, however I know my coach has NO reinforced fiberglass ribs integral to the rear cap for ladder attachment points.  If the same for your coach, attaching a ladder would only be good for a 95 pound person to use.

I have a telescoping ladder in the cargo bay, for the odd occasion I need to get on the roof.

Fortunately, Bob Lee was running the show when my rig was built, so it came with a rear ladder.  I use it often.

Note, I weigh a bit over 95 lbs by 2x.

. It makes no sense that they never intended to put ladders on them.  My 2002 literally has the first step as a hole built into the fiberglass bumper.
