Hi Walt,

Did you try to retrieve a trouble code from the genset?? No code?? Does your coach have a spark arrestor in the exhaust? The spark arrestor will make the generator sound muffled, if you have one.

Fred, I,'m getting no code. I have no idea re spark arrestor. Looks like I'll have to find a good repair shop.

Check for a screen about a foot in from the end of the exhaust.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look for the screen, but have decided I'll let Buddy Gregg in Dallas handle the problem. I received a recall notice the other day re Living room slide out facia which will require the 200 mile trip top Dallas anyway, so will let them check out the genset since it has a three year warranty.
