Title: Slide Floor
Post by: 429CV23 on January 28, 2021, 05:24:28 pm
Does anyone know where to source a new floor for the main, driver side slide for an '04 Inspire?
PO destroyed this interior with long term water damage, just found the entire front edge rotted through, probably 4-6" of it.  I think the only thing holding the floor up there was the desk, which has been removed to install new carpet after removing all the mfg wood planking.
These floors have no support under them except the 2 slide rails, so they can't be repaired.
Local shop says they can't repair since there is no source for a replacement.
Thanks!

So, with no source for a new floor, I've repaired the water damaged floor.  I sourced Guardian Plates from Talin Mfg; about $450 shipped.  Once the plate was installed, I packed the areas lacking wood with wood chips sourced from a pet store, then saturated the area with RotFix.  In a local shop now getting the front slides adjusted and seals replaced.  Not ideal, but will be a permanent fix.

Have you tried contacting Premier RV in Junction City, OR? They are the go-to CC resource.
