Hi,

My new Intrigue is not quite level. At the FMCA in Albuquereque HWH showed me how to adjust for level but I can't find the PC board involved. Anyone know where it is located? Lyle, Intrigue 11740

Lyle,

It is located in the front left exterior bay behind a clear plastic door.

Lyle:

My HWH level sensor is located behind a round hole in the top of the first storage bay. I had to take all my 'stuff' out and ride the slide into the bay. Look up into the hole and you will see the sensor attached to the floor of the MH. You don't have to move the screws very much!
The HWH system control board is located behind the kick panel in front of the passanger seat. (I didn't have to mess with that to re-level the coach)

Jim,

Thanks for the input. I'm told they used to put the level adjustment in that location when it was a mercury leveler. In later coachs they gave up on the mercury and went to little led lights on a PC board.
Question. What do you mean by the HWH system control board behind the kick panel infront of the passenger seat. I have two doors to a small cabinet in that location.
Thanks again.

Damon,

That is exactly what everyone else says but guess what? It ain't there. I know exactly what it looks like and how to make the necessary adjustments but IT AIN'T THERE! I have searched everywhere and the CC folks think I am nuts I'm sure, but, it ain"t there, just a blank space.

Lyle:

Your lucky and have the "cabinet upgrade". All I have in that location is a padded panel. We will have to visit the cabinet shop to get one installed (and think we will).

Would guess that you will have to remove the cabinet if you ever need to get to the systems control board, unless CC has put it some other place now.

Interesting that HWH gave up on the mercury leveler. Wonder why? Also wonder if we 'mercury' folks have an upgrade path?

Good luck on the board hunt.

Jim,

Well, this morning, not being able to find the brain anywhere else, I took your advice and looked deeper into the "hole." Sure enough, there was the mercury leveler adjust. Can't figure why it would be in an 04 coach but will talk to HWH and keep you posted.

Jim,
Thanks for your post on HWH leveling. I moved the slide out the driver's side and crawled in & sure enough, it's there, right where you said it would be! I had been told it was behind the panel below the dash on the passenger side but could not find it there. Would you tell me how you adjusted yours, i.e., which screw did you use and in which direction did you turn it to raise and lower a particular corner of the coach?
Thanks, Dr. Stan

Dr. Stan:

I don't remember much about adjusting it. My left front side was low so I think I used the right rear screw to make the adjustment. Ran that screw in unil the left and front yellow lights came on. My wife, using a family radio, told me when the lights came on. After the system leveled it was ok. I remember the adjustment was pretty touchy.
I think someone posted a method that required you to pull a fuse on the system control board (that isbehind the panel/cabinet below the dash on the passenger side). You leveled the coach with the push buttons on the control panel and then adjusted the leveling board so the that the yellow lights went out.
A phone to HWH tech support would be in order to get the proper method of adjusting the leveling system. They are a good bunch of folks and are happy to help us owners (tinkers).

Good Luck

I got the cabinet put in at Davis last year. It is much larger than the one that CC puts in. They do nice work.

We just went through the leveling adjustment process last week. I discussed the procedure with one of the HWH reps at the FMCA rally in Albuquerque before trying it.

Step 1. Manually level the coach to where you want it. You might want to check the manual setting with a spirit level. At this point one or two of the amber lights on the leveling system control panel will be lit.

Step 2. Make room to crawl into the forward bay where the leveling sensor is located. In my case I could just slide the tray out one side and crawl in the opposite side.
Step 3. Adjust the sensor screws in or out until all the amber lights are extinguished. The adjustments are quite small - probably no more than 1/4 turn or less. It _really_ helps to have a someone topside monitoring the lights (and a pair of walkie-talkie radios).
Step 4. Let the automated leveling do its thing a couple times to be sure it levels the way you want it. You may want to tweak the setting slightly before closing everything up.

The adjuster screws are spring-loaded. It may help to carefully depress the sensor body a bit with your finger to
A) see which direction to turn the screw (the amber lights will chage) and
B) gauge the effect of small adjustments (let the springs
re-position the sensor).

If memory serves, the refrigerator only needs to be within 3 degrees of level (side-to-side) and 6 degrees (front-to-back) to operate properly.

Thanks for the write up on the leveling adjustment. I now have a copy printed out and placed in the HWH folder here in the MH. I guess I kind of lucked out with my 'tweeking' method.

Thanks again.
