Title: 30 Amp Shore Power
Post by: Concreteman on August 24, 2021, 02:34:15 pm
Is there any issues, to be aware of, that will effect my 2007 Magna 630 #6762 hooking it up to a 30 amp circuit?
I know it will not handle all the air conditioners but is there anything else?

Nope. Just add up the amperage of the items you want to use and stay under it. Items like hair dryer, toaster oven, microwave at the same time will give you problems.

Don't forget to include battery charging and hot water heater (if electric) loads. Maybe run hot water heater on propane until things stabilize.

I have a related question as a new owner.

What is the procedure to store a 2005 Magna on 20AMP (or 15AMP) shore power to ensure the batteries get charged. We will store our coach over the winter (Nov-March) and want to ensure our new batteries remain in good condition.

Cheers;

Chris,
On your inverter control panel you will be able to designate how many amps the inverter will allocate for battery charging. Set it to 10 or 20 amps and that should do it.
