Hey All! We recently purchased a 2007 Intrigue 530 Jubilee and cannot get the batteries to charge off the generator nor alternator. We have solar but the remote Heliotrope remote monitor is broken and since the company is out of business, the RV dealer cannot find a replacement. The coach also didn’t come with the owner & chassis manuals, but CC in Oregon are sending them to me. I’ve run the generator and driven the vehicle hoping the alternator would kick in, but neither have charged the batteries. Is there some switch, breaker, reset button or something else that must be done to get the generator or alternator to charge the batteries and keep them topped up? Also, I was asked if there is a battery charger or similar device in the battery compartment that interfaces with the batteries to keep them charged.
I see you everywhere.... :)

Could be the transfer switch or the Smart Battery Combiner which is in the same bay as the inverter. They are prone to go bad. Not sure if they are part of the charging system, but the battery combiner feeds juice to your chassis batteries when plugged into a pedestal. Doesn't hurt to crawl under there and make sure the green light is on.
AM Solar in Oregon AM Solar (https://amsolar.com/) obtained the Heliotrope manufacturing rights a few years back. Contact them about a Heliotrope solar power controller replacement.
You can play it safe and buy a Generac generator 5 Best Generac Generators Reviewed in Detail (Winter 2023) (https://generatorpick.com/best-generac-generators/) it has never let me down yet. Using this for power in our RV while we build, and it is amazing. We have pretty light consumption, using propane for heat and hot water, so this runs the fridge, a dehumidifier, a TV, and a couple of lights while keeping the battery topped off.
