Hello Amigos! Question, I have a 2002 36" Intrigue that had the original "zip Dee awning in front of the entry door heading back 21'. My question is: Has anyone converted to an electric awning replacement from the same location? If so, have you encountered any problems with regard to structural integrity of the side just below the "top cap"(roof)? The awning installer does not recommend this stating he has seen 3 C.C.'s that pulled the fiberglass adjacent to the top cap because of force of wind coming off the windshield.
If I move it behind the entry side window, there will be no protection/shade over the front entrance door.
