Title: Hydro Hot nozzle access
Post by: Rocky Road on January 31, 2024, 09:50:47 pm
My 2005 Magna 630 has a hydro hot on the driver's side. It has been emitting blue smoke while running. The filter is fresh and I am suspecting the burner nozzle. Does anybody knowhow to access the nozzle? The hydro hot is backed into the compartment and there doesn't have any way to get at the back side of it where the burner is. On the passenger side is the coach batteries. I slid them out, but the compartment appears to be sealed. Any help is appreciated.

My 2006 Magna hydro hot burner assembly was accessible after removing the galvanized cover. Pretty easy project.
You don’t have to gain access to the back side of the hydro hot, after the front cover is removed, there are two nuts you back off, slide the studs out of the way and pull off the burner unit. Then you will see the nozzle. Hope this helps.

I recently replaced the nozzle and it wasn't the problem. Aqua-Hot has a web site with a downloadable repair and parts manual. I was also going through coolant. Turns out the interior combustion chamber has a crack and coolant is leaking into the chamber and is being burned and creating the smoke. The entire unit must be replaced.
