Just took delivery on my new Magna on Friday. Spent one night in it then had to head for home. When I got it parked, I noticed a problem. The circuit that powers the refrig and main lights in both bathrooms doesn't work now with the generator or shore power off.
Works fine with generator and/or shore power connected (shore power is just a 20 amp hook-up from a patio plug on the house).
Everything else seems to work fine with just the coach power.
What's up? Guess I'll call CC service tomorrow.

Typically, the fridge won't run on inverter only. I know my '95 won't. It may be normal, but CCI will be able to tell you for sure. Their tech support is great.

Glen, I did not quite understand your message. Is your new Magna all electric? If so, then you must be saying the inverter for the refrig is not working,( or is the propane not kicking in?) and is the other inverter working? Is your new rig all you expected? Dale and Candace Hollick

Hi Glen,

I saw some new 2004 Magnas while we were at Lazydays for service for our 2003 Magna. As I recall, they had two Pro-Sine Inverter/Chargers and 4 8D AGM batteries. My guess is that CC put the refrig and those bathroom lights on a circuit powered from one of the Pro-Sines that manages one pair of the AGM batteries. In addition to calling CC tech, I would look at the display info provided by the Pro-Sines. With the Genset Off, and shore power disconnected, the Pro-Sine inverter function should be working and making ac power for the refrig and those lights from the paired batteries. The ProSine displays will tell if they are making ac power. What is the voltage level of each pair of batteries, how many amps are going out of the batteries (and into the batteries when on shore or gen power)? If one or both aren't providing ac power or charging when on shore power, then check if they are setup correctly.

Thanks, Paul. Everything is working again now! When I got the coach home, I plugged a 100' regular extension cord into a 15 or 20 amp outlet on my patio - then into the coach via the power cord adapter. Apparently the "Prosine" didn't like the lack of power and cut off some "leg" or something - all according to the tech at CC. Anyway, he had me go to the panel behind the driver's seat and push some buttons which turned the Prosine off, then back on again to reset something. Everything works again. I will not plug in the extension cord again. I know this is pretty general, but what we did worked.
