Title: Keyless Entry/door lock help

We have a 2004 Intrigue with a keyless entry system. Suddenly when I push the lock button, only the bays lock. The front door lock does not engage - though the security system IS activated! We read manuals and searched for fuses - nothing! The lock works easily with the key, so it is not blocked by anything. We have tried both key fobs too.

Has anyone had this trouble? Anyone offer a solution? Thank you.

Please advise,
Terry

I had the same problem with my 03 Intrigue. Check with Country Coach it is covered under the warranty.
Basically, it was a lock mechanism failure and they replaced it. I would caution you to only use the key until you get it fixed. I was using the remote to set the alarm then the key to lock, well, one time the broken lock engaged/jammed and the key would not work. Luckily, I was able to work on it and eventually got it open.
When the coach was in for the repair, the lock failed again in the locked position and the tech had to go in and out of the coach through the window. Fortunately, the window was not locked.

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I was afraid it was something like that. Wouldn't you know it? The first week of a 3- month trip?! Oh, well... if that is the only thing broken on our coach, I will be a happy girl.

Thanks again,
Terry

Terry, also check the wires that come through the hinge side of the door, into the door from the frame. On my coach, they rubbed through and broke, so when I use the key fob to set the alarm and lock the door, the alarm sets, but the solonoid does not lock the entry door, I have to use the key to set the lock.
We do not have auto-locks on the bays on the Allure.

Terry,

I had the same problem you describe. Mine was caused when I had some work done on the door at Lazy Days. The tech that worked on my door cut the cable to get the door off but never repaired the cable when he re-mounted the door. Unfortunately I did not realize this until a few weeks later and 1500 miles away. I fixed it myself in about 3/4 of an hour.

Mine has broken for the third time. I had it fixed at the dealer then at the factory. It this something that would be a reasonably easy "do it myself" job or will I continue to have to have somebody else do it? I really love being able to lock and unlock with out using the key. And I like the security it provides since I am alone.

Ree,

I fixed the keyless Entry cable and it was a was a fairly easy job. It was easy because I could get at both ends of the wire. All I did was resplice the ends and it took about 45 minutes. Some day I may spring for a new cable.
