I can make some diagrams if desired, but here is a very simple approach.
1. The Sanitation bay coax runs to the AUX input of the RF switcher installed near your VCR.
2. Disconnect the coax to this AUX input.
3. Connect the coax just removed to the ANT/SAT connection on the RCA Diplexer Switch (D920 from BestBuys for $19.99). This is NOT a conventional splitter/combiner, but it takes either/both an RF and Satellite signal and splits it to two cables. One that is Satellite only, and the other is RF only.
4. Connect the ANT output from the RCA Diplexer to the RF switcher (where the cable was just removed).
5. Connect the SAT output from the RCA Diplexer to input B of an A/B Switch.
6. Connect your automatic dome Satellite Antenna coax to input A of the above A/B Switch.
7. Connect the output of the A/B switch to the Satellite Receiver.
8. Use the A/B switch to select which dish source you want to use.
If Park cable is connected to the sanitation bay, it is pass through to the AUX on the RF Switch. If a dish is connected, it is pass to the A/B switch.
9. If you want to connect both Park cable AND remote dish on tripod
to the sanitation bay coax, use a SECOND RCA Diplexer with the ANT for the Park Cable input and SAT for the dish input. The combined SAT/ANT output of the Diplexer is connected to the jack. When the combined signal get to the other RCA Diplexer, it is split back to two cables!!!
The Diplexer will work as a 2-1 or 1-2 connections -- signal can be combined or split. The difference in signal is that the Satellite signal as DC voltage on the coax. This splitter/combiner routes the signal to/from the correct coax. The Diplexer is typically used in pairs, but where only one source is connected in the sanitation bay, a second diplexer is not necessary.
