Title: Lighted Door Handle

Our lighted door handle is now flickering when turned on. I seem to remember a post about this quite a while ago, but since the search option will do only a small number of posts at one time it could take forever to find anything. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I recall fixing mine a couple of years ago.
You remove the screws from the top part of the handle, and you should be able to get to the bulb.

Mine did the same thing on my Magna. I had CC service fix it. They said they took the handle off and re-did a wire connection to the handle.

Thanks to all who responded to our question about the door handle light. Turns out, ours is not a simple replaceable bulb - it is an entire assembly with the mini-bulb soldered into the unit which also contains a resistor (which is most likely the "bad" part). We are awaiting an answer from CC as to the part number to make the ordering process easier.

If yours is like ours, there's an automotive type bulb in the upper chrome housing which is about to fail. Simply unscrew the housing and replace the bulb, cleaning the socket while you're at it.
FWIW ... I replaced our plastic handle (which had a bunch of cracks) after I heard that some RVers fell and were injured after they grabbed onto their RV's door handle, which then broke. I obtained a replacement handle at the CCI Rally in Tennessee last year.
