I was wondering what service centers in the Eugene, Oregon area might be good to use. We will be in the area early August and CC can't get us in for some repairs. I had planned on going to Carrier and Sons RV for the work, but heard they have had some major personel changes. I was told to deal only with the Shop Manager Greg and his wife Ronny. Unfortunitly, they both have recently left and gone to work for Monaco's service center in the area.

Since Gregg was recommended so highly by many CC owners, I had a lot of confidence that my repairs would be handled correctly.
Since I have also heard negetive comments on Carriers, I no longer feel I would get a quality job done there. So, any input would would be appreciated. I think there is a Cummins Coach Care in the area, if so, would this be a good place to go?

Any help, suggestions, or input would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I would think twice about the Cummins Coachcare. I went for a lube and oil change. I arrived at 1:00 and there were people still there from 9 that morning and their coach hadn't been in the dervice bay yet. Mine sat there until 3:30 and then everything started moving.
I returned home and was having something else done under the coach and the mechanic said I should lube the driveline. I told him it was done 1,500 miles ago and he said he couldn't tell it. Don't think I'll go back there.

Except for the fact that the hubcap fell off one of my wheels after I left the Cummins Coach Care in Coburg, I really didn't have any complaints. I arrived early for my appointment; they had several things to do under the coach and it was all done by 3:30 so I was able to drive back to Camp Country Coach in JC for the night. That was when I discovered that the service people at CC service dept had caused a water leak under my galley sink and the whole slide was full of water. When they finally dried that out, someone dropped something on one of the tiles in the galley, making a big hole...and that someone did not say anything so I had to discover this damage when they returned the coach.

The moral of the story: You can have issues with anyone who works on your coach. I'll return to the CC factory service dept (keeping a close watch on them this time!) and would probably have service done at the Caoch Care in Coburg.

I just got service I made sure to tell them I just purchase the coach and asked for full service using any extended service fluids possible they only did lof I spoke with the lady in the office about this she told me the coach did not need it I told her to transfer the warrantee I had to performed all service within 30 days. she only to argue that it was not necessary the contract says I have to perform all the service guess I need to find another service center that can follow a request.

Gaurranty RV and Cummins Coach Care are both recommended by C.C. and the other Oregon manufactured RV company. I have also heard of a shop called Quality RV in the Eugene area, sorry can't give you a good or bad as far as service goes. I feel Cummins Coach Care would probably be a safe bet, since if problems arose with a repaired item, the other Cummins Coach Care shops in the country would most likely warranty the repairs.

As a side note about the service shop mentioned below. I am the Shop Foreman for a large service center in Texas. We service and warranty the other Oregon Brand of coaches. Over the last 2 or 3 years, more then a few customers have mentioned the 2 individuals below. They came highly recommended if any of our customers need help while in the Eugene area and the factory was unable to get them in for repairs. The point being, the individuals were recommended not the shop. One customer and his wife referred to them as RV AMBASSADORS, corny I know. The customers said that they were treated as friends not just a paid repair bill. Their coach was treated as their home not a Recreational Vehicle and even though they were retired and owned an RV, they didn't think they were rich and had nothing better to do then sit in a repair shop for a week. I think that this is high praise from any RV owner, in regard to anyone in the RV business. I would like to be or have just 1 employee thought of this way. Unfortunately I work for a business and profit is the bottom- line. I've not seen any BASHING of the shop, in fact there are a couple of good posts for them in this thread.

Does this mean the shop is recommendable or not? I can't say since I have no experience with them. What I feel is that this business has not just lost 2 good people, they have lost customers and profits because these individuals are employed somewhere else.
That is something no business now a days can afford to do.

regards to cc recommended shops. Country coach does refer coaches to Carrier and Sons at this present time. They have several qualified tech there. Most trained by CC. The 2 employees that recently left weren't asked to leave but wanted to leave for opportunity. This whole thing has gotten why out of control. Carrier and Sons is a small business of 7 and is just trying to run a business and take care of 7 families. All customers that go in to Carrier and son is treated with respect. They always keep the expenses down if possible for the customer. This caring about the customer did not come from just their past employees but this was their company policy. Carrier and sons has customers that are still coming to them from 1997 when they first started there business. I say to anyone looking for service to call Carrier and son and see for yourself and not to pay attention to word say!

What Teresa Carrier just posted about Carrier & Sons is absolutely correct.
Our experience in the past was outstanding. After just reading about all of the "Eugene Service" information, I called Teresa yesterday to make a service appointment next week. I cancelled an appointment a friend suggested we make with Cummins to go back to Carrier.
