Hi All - we will be travelling into the Tacoma-Seattle area for the first time. Are there any state parks or campgrounds that anyone can recommend? My wife has a couple dog agility events near Auburn but we will have during the week to explore or move the coach around. Any recommendations appreciated.

Scott:

There is the Seattle/Tacoma KOA in Kent in that area. We have stayed there for its location convenience only. It is not Big Rig friendly, sites are tight. They have 6-8 VIP sites with telephone connections that run approx. $50.00 per nite that you might consider...abit pricey for what you get...but is the only cmpgrd in that immed. area.

There are 2 others in that vicinity to consider, however, I have not stayed in either. In nearby Puyallup, there is Majestic Mobile Manor RV Park which takes up to 55'.

There also is Saltwater St Pk in Des Moines which accepts up to 40'.
Good luck....don

Scott -

We were in the Seattle last summer and stayed at the Gig Harbor RV Resort and enjoyed it's location immensely. Much quieter than the KOA Seattle but probably not as convenient to the Auburn area.

Just another one to consider. Have Fun!
